The cottage was made for slow mornings and easy evenings. Sunlight pours through the French doors, the wood stove keeps things cozy when the air turns cool, and the loft tucks you in under the trees.
Step outside and you are on a Certified Wildlife Habitat, cared for by our family since 2014. Deer wander through the meadow, wild turkeys stroll past the porch, and our honeybees hum through the gardens all season long. It feels miles away from everything, yet downtown Grass Valley is just a short drive away.

Will we see wildlife?
Very likely. Deer visit most mornings and evenings, wild turkeys wander through, and hawks circle overhead. Please enjoy them from a distance and never feed them.
Are there stairs?
Yes. The bedroom loft is up a spiral staircase that is steep and narrow. Most guests manage just fine, but it may not be right for little ones or anyone with mobility concerns.
How far is town?

This quaint cottage in Grass Valley is so cute and peaceful! My partner and I only stayed one night but we felt right at home. The property is gorgeous and private. We loved sitting outside and listening to the birds in the morning too.
